God’s Grace…always in abundance

I was reading through my journal this morning, starting from the first day of this year. After a few pages, I was overwhelmed by God’s goodness in my life. The year is gradually winding up and I can say that it has been a very remarkable year for me.I didn’t win the lottery or anything like that, but in the seemingly little things, God has shown me His hand. I’m grateful.

Many of us think that God’s dream for us will be fulfilled with exaggerated arm-waving gestures or magical transformations, but stop and think for just a minute. Perhaps God’s dream for you is revealed in little bits at a time, unfolding quietly throughout each minute of every day.
I know that most of the time we refer to the gift of salvation as a gift of grace. But God’s grace also comes in tiny little packages marked “FREE GIFT” inside. Each day God presents gifts of His grace. Most of the time we take them for granted.
dg
Take some time to appreciate some of these gifts:

freedom to be real
a loving companion
quiet moments
walking
a friend who listens
a sunrise
knowing you’re loved
a child’s hug
a plate of food
a glass of water
a job

All of these and many, many more are God’s little dreams coming true each hour, each day of your life. Don’t overlook these things. They are precious little gifts given freely and generously from our Father. Consider these gifts as little dreams floating down from heaven.

Each day, train yourself to be more aware of little dreams coming true. Open your eyes and mind to magical moments and quiet blessings. Start writing them down on a scrap of paper or in a special journal. Soon you will see your life from a different perspective and start seeing that perhaps you are already living God’s dream for you.

It’s here. Right now!

It’s all around you. Open your eyes and look closely. Don’t miss it!
Start looking at each of these as little dreams come true. God’s dream for us unfolds in thousands of little ways through everyday graces He places in our lives.

Too often we are just too busy to notice. Or, we are so eager to have the big dream come true we forget to watch for little things that are the dream coming true.

Most Christians can trust God for Heaven – Eternity with Him, but we can’t trust Him for everyday life. Start seeing and living differently…it will turn your life around!
