They appreciate you greatly. Your votes made their day.

For those joining us today, my students wrote an assignment and because it was difficult for me to choose the winner, we decided to take the assignment online for my wonderful followers to vote for the student with the best points. The post on Lessons From Ruth can be found here.

They all did wonderfully well and as suggested by some of you and my principal officers, they were all given gifts.

Timilehin was the second runner-up with 33 votes.

A big THANK YOU to all those that gave gifts to the children. God bless you all.

This morning, they all insisted on writing and editing this post with me, so all errors are ‘ours’…lol.

Special thanks to my photographer, Juwon. He took all the shots. Nice, yeah?

In other news, Happy World Book Day. World Book Day seeks to inspire people to turn off the TV, log off the net, put away the video games & ignore all the other myriad distractions of modern life and enjoy the simple pleasure of reading a book instead.
World Reading Day encourages people everywhere to organise their own events to promote reading. Be this a school having a class where pupils take it in turns to read a page from their favourite book, a workplace where an after work book club is held or a retirement home where people are encouraged to rediscover the books that helped shape their lives.
We had a Reading Picnic to celebrate this very important day.
You can watch the video here.

Here are some pictures:

Readers are Leaders.

Readers are Leaders.

World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading aimed at children. In fact, it’s the biggest party of its kind marked in over 100 countries all over the world. So if you love reading – or you hope to pass your love of reading onto someone else – this is the perfect day to do it.
World Book Day motivates children, teens, and adults worldwide to celebrate the power of words, especially those words that are shared from one person to another. By raising our voices together on this day, we show the world’s children that we support their future: that they have the right to read, to write, and to share their words to change the world.
HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY, EVERYONE!
