Happy New Year this February
Happy New Year, everyone π₯΄π₯΄
I know…I know! New Yearβs Day has come and gone, and most of us are still adjusting to having to remember the year is no longer 2015. Officially, my year just started. January is usually a me-time of reflections and meditations, not really about setting resolutions, but being in the PRESENT. And enjoying it.
Yes! I entered the New Year in a mode of being absolutely present, and absolutely positive about how great it’s going to be. I entered 2020 with zero pressure on my back to do anything other than remain open to the possibility of my potential, receptive to change and ready to show compassion to myself for my shortcomings. It’s a ME goodness this 2020, and I can tell you that I’m already amazed by the things I see unfold around me.
The reality is that there’s no point in setting the same resolutions I’ve been setting for years on end, only to feel disappointed and down on yourself. No! No more insanity for me. The crazy cycle only perpetuates feelings of failure and inadequacy, which is wholly negative and certainly not conducive to achieving goals. Live…and let your intuition take the lead in guiding you through the year.
And for some of y’all judging me, here’s a thought for you to ponder on: Why is it that for all the motivation you have before the 1st January, you get more unproductive as the year goes on?
Your answer must have you worried, yes?
How about, for this New Year, you just allow you to be you, just like I’m allowing myself to be me?
